Welcome to Allergy & Asthma Specialists of Northern Vermont, P.C.
We are a full service subspecialty medical practice with offices in St. Albans (by Northwestern Medical Center), Berlin (near Central Vermont Medical Center), and Essex Junction. Our mission is to optimally diagnose and treat the full spectrum of allergic and immunologic disorders.
Dr. William Newman is a board-certified allergist and clinical immunologist who established his practice in August, 2005. He treats infants, children, and adult patients equally, and he has many years of primary and critical care experience.
Atopic diseases (eg. allergy, asthma, and atopic dermatitis) are increasing worldwide, and despite a better understanding and treatment of these diseases, the morbidity and mortality from them is not decreasing.
Optimal diagnosis and care of patients with these diseases often requires accurate immunologic assessment and detailed lung studies that will help to determine specific care plans. Among treatments, immunologic desensitization with a series of allergy shots is a therapeutic option that cures rather than treats the symptoms of allergic disorders.
Though Dr. Newman sees a broad spectrum of clinical consultations, he most often sees and treats patients with the following conditions:
